Appreciate you sharing your take, Jacob. In this case, I’m using AI to get more mileage out of articles I’ve already put serious time and effort into. My thinking is: if AI can do something as well as (or better than) me in less time, I’ll use it, so I can spend that time on more valuable or meaningful work. It’s about working smarter, not skipping the work.
Thanks for sharing your prompts. I definitely have been in that situation of having dozens of ideas when I talk to clients, but then blank screen when I sit down to come up with ideas for short form like Notes. One other way I'm exploring to get around this is dumping all the transcripts of my coaching calls into Google Notebook LM and then having it help surface my ideas and insights.
I'm seeing your post through my home page and wanted to give it some engagement. If you wouldn't mind doing it back to my newsletter post that would be amazing.
Just tested your prompt for generating 30 notes out of a post. This is really great, Luan! I write on similar topics, would love to connect and exchange ideas :)
Substack doesn’t support scheduling Notes yet, but I’ve built a app that works for me. It’s not quite polished enough to share publicly, but if there’s interest, I might open it later
ahhh okay, I thought that was the case as I've seen others take that approach - I think for now it will just be a matter of logging on & dropping some game for me haha
I tried your custom gpt and it was good but one was really off. Once I asked it to match with the tone of my article it came out really good. Maybe this could be one of the questions at the start. Really loved that you set up the questions at the start, gives you time to think and set up what you want.
Luan, call me your #1 newest fan!!! You outlined what I've been doing by repurposing by articles AND given us an amazing prompt for ChatGPT! Whoop! Whoop!!!
Hi! Your article and your ideas are amazing. I tried your AI notes prompt thingy (sorry romance writer here, not tech guru). The ideas it generated, although not perfect were very close, and with little tweaks I was bale to make them just right! Tomorrow, I'll publish my first note, partially made by your prompt maker chatgpt thingy (sorry, still not sure, what to call it). Thank you for sharing!
I use custom GPTs for writing too. As a recommendation, watch for the patterns GPT tends to repeat and try to avoid them. You can include a 'restraints' section in your prompts to reduce overused structures like 'It’s not about X, it’s about Y.' GPTs love that one.
I’m currently building my own writing assistant, and once I have a beta ready, I’d love to share it with you. I’m sure you could give me great feedback. Keep it up, brother!
yeah, sounds good! From my experience, the best custom GPT is the one trained on your real workflow and actual examples, so it stays true to your voice.
Why am I reading A.I. prose that you didn’t bother writing? Feels disrespectful to me lol

I feel this way too. I’m glad to see how you are using it. Very helpful.
No. It’s about creating garbage to promote yourself.
It’s new age SPAM.
It’s not smart.
Because you chose to keep reading 👀
Yep. Generally people who use AI and not labeling it AI are abusing trust and wasting time. Disrespectful is the right word :(

That’s a great idea, those transcripts are a goldmine for content. Thanks for sharing this

H/T to @Karo (Product with Attitude) for dropping this in my feed…

Thank you so much! I’d love to connect as well, it’s always exciting to meet others exploring similar topics.
This is awesome!! I can't wait to try the prompts. Thank you for sharing. 🙏
Thank you! I’m really glad it was helpful. If you ever need any support, I’m happy to help!
Super helpful...I'm trying this.
Can you schedule the notes anywhere?

Yup. Add me to your list for that too. Would be incredibly useful.
I’d also like to know if you can do this
I’ve developed a small application to help schedule Substack Notes, but it’s not complete enough to be widely released.
ahhh okay, I thought that was the case as I've seen others take that approach - I think for now it will just be a matter of logging on & dropping some game for me haha
Some great ideas in here…thanks!
Love the prompts and the encouragement to post consistently and daily. Thank you!
Thank you! I’m really happy it was useful for you. Your comment truly made my day!
You just solved a huge problem for me cause I'm barely on SS 🤦
That’s awesome! Glad it helped, Quinn
Good one! Thank you!
Thanks, Emma! Glad it's helpful for you

That’s great. You can refine the prompt to match your personalized needs. This way, the result will be better without much revising.
That's true. Thanks.

You're welcome, Luan!

That’s awesome, Esther! It’s called CustomGPT, and I’m super glad it helped you :)
