What I love about this MCP approach: it finally makes AI feel like a true business partner instead of just a really smart intern who can’t touch your systems.

This is the kind of tactical, implementation-focused content that actually moves the needle. Thanks for walking through the setup!

Yes, with MCP, AI becomes the central hub of our work. Instead of switching between separate applications, everything flows through AI as the central command center.

Exactly this. The shift from AI as ‘extra brainpower’ to AI as the central command hub changes everything!

This is brilliant! It’s a little technical for me but you’ve listed the steps clearly and inspired me to give it a go!

Yes, Jen. Have you tried it? This tech is much simpler and more flexible than the ActionGPT setup.

No, my weekend was consumed by connecting notion to custom GPTs. Man, it’s frustrating. I did it for two but failed trying to set up two more. I keep getting the same error messages even when I’m doing the exact same thing to the same space. I needed a break.

I’m not wired for this technical stuff.

Ugh, that sounds brutal. I’ve been there: same steps, same setup, totally different (and confusing) results. It’s exhausting.

For the next article, I’m planning to include a simple walkthrough video to make it way easier to follow.

Thanks, I’m told the database is doesn’t match or the gpt is connected. Over and over. I don’t think a video is going to help. The tech isn’t talking to each other consistently. I mean, I did get it working for a hot minute but then it broke again.

Thanks, Joel. This is my goal. I always try to provide content in a way that people who are less tech-savvy can follow easily.

This is awesome, Luan!

I think I might have read the first Claude related MCP integration from your newsletter, this breakdown another masterpiece that's so comprehensive and so easy for everyone to use!

The GitHub repo is also a goldmine.

Thanks, Jenny! I really think if we take the time to build and tweak our own workflow with MCPs, it could save us a ton of time

Really interesting. How processor intensive are these sorts of background tasks? Are they noticeable?

So far, in my testing, this hasn't been an issue.

Yes, Karen, it may look too technical, but once it's set up, it can speed up your work and smooth out your workflow. I'll have an additional guide on how to implement it in a practical use case for daily work.

If and when substack becomes overloaded with automated AI posts it will be called LinkedIn and we will see a migration to a new platform.

Those guys just hate writing. They only want "having written" and look like writers.

Man - I must admit I struggle to write. It is hard. I use help anywhere I can get it.

But my fear is that this style will turn substack into linkedin. AI talking to AI.

Voss's avatar

We all struggle, but some help is different than auto-generating AI-slop notes you never read.

Use AI, use it a lot, but at least you think what you write.

This guy just offers some tool to flood substack with trash.

This looks great and promising, but it is still way too much tech work. No problem to do it, but a bit more simple tool would be ideal.

Thabk you for your insights!
