This was a fascinating read--I'm glad to hear that all this is possible! I'm not a tech person so it all seems complicated, but it looks like your instructions are clear enough to follow with some focused time and and attention. I will definitely subscribe and look forward to learning more!
Totally resonates with the pain of switching. Great example of where AI’s real leverage lies, not just generating content, but moving it through your system without breaking flow.
Thanks so much for your kind words. About your questions:
- So far, I haven’t run into any issues with incorrect content. I just have a normal discussion with ChatGPT, and once the note looks good, I mention @CustomGPT (which I designed to add data to Notion) to send the content to Notion. To be safe, you can add a few instructions, like asking ChatGPT to clearly show what it’s about to add, and requiring user confirmation before anything is added.
- Yes, I created a simple app to control the browser, pull data from Notion, and publish Notes at pre-scheduled times.
- For the Substack Notes publishing flow, I only pay for ChatGPT Plus.
This is insanely helpful! I've been looking for a better way to manage my ideas and see them all in one place. I love the detailed instructions plus schema. Can't wait to see more like this
I’ve only just started using ActionGPT myself, right now I’ve set it up to push Substack Notes from CustomGPT into Notion as structured data, mainly to prep for automating Substack Notes posting and to demo idea management here. I’m planning to explore more around this topic and maybe write a few posts, like using CustomGPT to repurpose long-form content and auto-post it to social. I haven’t fully tested if it works yet, but if it does, that could make for a really fun follow-up piece!
This is amazing!! So grateful for the instructions + API schema you provided, made it Easy!!
Love hearing that, Tiff! Thank you :D
Next level ideas! Thank you so much for the detailed breakdown. Excited to try different variations.
Thanks so much! Definitely give it a try, there’s a ton of exciting stuff you can do with ActionGPT

Thanks, Sonia. Very glad it's useful for you.

Yes, even with only ChatGPT, I see a lot of things we can do to automate and optimize our work.
Love the concept and the detailed walk-through, super inspiring!
I have a few questions out of curiosity:
- How do you distinguish between the exploratory back-and-forth with GPT and the final note you actually want to publish?
- Have you already automated the Substack publishing process?
- Are there any parts of your pipeline that involve paid services?

That’s nice! Very inspiring. Thanks for the detailed explanation.

Glad it’s useful for you. I’ll have more practical guides soon.
Thanks for sharing the step by step. This is great! I can see many use cases for actionGPTs.
Love this workflow.
What other things you have implemented with ActionGPT?
