For the record, I have a chatGPT plus account and connectors are not available yet. I even went as far as asking gpt directly when I couldn't find them. It informed me that it's enterprise level only at the moment
About the Agent tool, that's a great feature. I actually haven't tried it much.
But for stable output and speed, like for specific repetitive tasks, you still need to set up MCP, and the agent can call that if needed.
If not, the agent will simulate it through a virtual browser, which takes much more time, may require you to monitor login (if needed), and also has a low usage time limit each month. So I think we should consider cases where we get the most benefit from using the agent.
💯agree with you Luan. Look forward to when ChatGPT’s MCP’s are available where I live. Until then, it’s Claude MCP’s and other automation tools for repetitive tasks and testing out the new ChatGPT agent for tasks that might not be repetitive but I would still much rather delegate 😊
Luan, this is exactly the kind of practical breakdown more people need in the AI space.
I really appreciated how you focused on solving actual day-to-day friction. The copy-paste relay is all too familiar... every solo entrepreneur has been there.
And your step-by-step approach was thoughtful. Starting with “just look, don’t change anything” is where a lot of technical content might gloss over which can cause confusion and overwhelm before they even start.
Keep sharing guides like this. Making AI feel useful and manageable is what helps moves things forward!
This is another great example about how MCP can be extremely useful for people!
It also reminds me how important for people to record almost anything that they do everyday, because the data gathered is going to be a super valuable for productivity boost.

You can check in Profile → Settings → Connectors.
If you still can't find it, like Amede said, it might be blocked in some places because of data privacy stuff, you could try Claude instead.
From what I’ve seen, Claude’s actually more powerful for this, you can even add custom connectors with lower plan.
It’s not available globally yet. Particularly, UK, Europe and I think, Switzerland. If you’re in any of these locations, try Claude.
Alternatively, the Agent tool is now live for ChatGPT plus users. agents don’t need MCP’s to connect to external apps. Might be worth trying that too.
Great information, Amede.

Thanks for the thoughtful comment, Tam! It really means a lot to me
